Now that we are ready, let’s get right into it.

Who is Vitalik Buterin?

Vitaly Dmitriyevich or “Vitalik” Buterin, is a 28-year-old dude whose most recognized job is creating the well-known decentralized blockchain platform/cryptocurrency called Ethereum.

Right now, Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. To give you an idea of how important and hot this token is, Ethereum in 2021 managed to get more than 450% gain and it just keeps going.

Vitalik’s background:

He was born on January 31st, 1994 into a family of computer scientists. When he was 6, his family moved to Canada, looking for better opportunities.

He was so brilliant that while in grade three of elementary he was placed in a school for gifted kids where he was introduced to the world of mathematics, programming and economics, that was just the beginning of his educational path.

At the young age of 17, he was presented to bitcoin through his father and that was probably the spark that started the fire.

His story behind crypto:

After high school, he went to the University of Waterloo where he finished sharpening his informatics skills and also became a research assistant of Ian Goldberg, a co-creator of Off-the-Record Messaging, a protocol that gives encryption for messages. giving him more experience in this topic.

In 2014 he made the life-changing decision of publishing a white paper proposing Ethereum.

Although the idea was implemented in 2014, it wasn’t until the next year that the project was officially launched.

Looking at Ethereum as a huge opportunity, he dropped out of college to pursue his dream.

Although he is the creator, some additional founders of Ethereum include Gavin Wood, Charles Hoskinson, Anthony Di Iorio, and Joseph Lubin.

Now, if you haven’t read my article about what Ethereum is, read it so you can understand its importance and why it has grown to be the second-largest cryptocurrency ever. You can find it here:
