Beginners Guide to NFTs VI: What is “World Of Women”
Hello my crypto friends and welcome back to another article of our series “Beginners Guide to NFTs”, if you didn't read the last episode, I recommend
you do it, it is a short and fascinating article where we cover the NFT collection dubbed as “Doodles”, I think you will enjoy it.
Today we will be talking about a very special NFT collection called World of Women.

Now with nothing more to say, let's get right into it.
What is World of Women (WoW)
From 4 friends sharing a vision, to a group of 9 people working together, the World of Woman project is one of the most sought-after female-led
projects in the market.
Launched on July 27th, 2021, it is a collection of 10,000 NFTs on the Ethereum Blockchain with the goal of bringing more awareness to women and diversifying the NFT space.
What makes them special?
First of all, the way they use their money.
They help empower women and promote diversity using art, so they thought, “if we can help online, why not in the real world?” and with this… 2,5% of their revenue goes to woman-focused causes around the world, for example:
1. Too young to wed.
Too young to wed focuses and works in areas where arranged child marriage is still a thing.
2. She’s the first
She’s the first is an organization that makes sure girls everywhere are educated, respected, and heard.
3. Strange Cintia
Strange Cintia is a member of the World of Women community that is getting help to fight her disease called ME/CFS which involves symptoms
like chronic fatigue, pain, and problems with thinking, among others.
Apart from their awesome vision of helping women everywhere in the world holders of the NFT aren't left empty-handed.
The holders of a World of Woman NFT get some additional perks such as
exclusive clothing and they can enter giveaways like, every 1000 primary sells, they pick 10 random owners and ship them a print.
Interesting facts:
1. World of Woman will purchase land in the popular NFT-related videogame “The sandbox” (I talk briefly about it on the “what is the metaverse”
article I wrote, you can click here and read it)
2. There is an original soundtrack for the project created by artist David Magyar.
3. Each World of Woman NFT is an 800x800 PNG file, but when you own one you are able to unlock the mega high-resolution version of 4000x4000
and you can use it to print it and use it for your own projects.
